Meet the Team
Katy and Abi met 20 years ago whilst both teaching singing. They instantly bonded over a passion for musical theatre, helping people to sing and feel better, and Zombie films. Since then they have worked together, leading singing groups, choirs and workshops and performing together whenever they can.

Katy has worked as an educator and performer for over 30 years. She has worked professionally with award winning Opera Company Petticoat Opera, Creative Cow Theatre Company and was a founder member of D.I.V.A.S. She has performed in and around the UK and the US, but loves it most when she is in Tiverton with her singing groups. Alongside being a director of Sing Yourself Well, Katy runs Take Note Community Choir with Abi and is Programme Lead for the Musical Theatre course at Exeter College. She is married to scientist Nick and has two sons. When not doing singing things she likes reading, eating, watching films and knitting things (badly).

Director
Abi Pring (right)
BSc Psychology, ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and Classical Singing
Abi has been teaching music in schools and privately for 20 years. She teaches piano and singing to people of all ages and abilities. She regularly performs onstage and also multiple times a week as a professional singer for people around the world. Abi has trained with the Royal Ballet School and also teaches dance and musical theatre. She is very involved with many local groups including Willow Tree Dance and Theatre Arts and Signpost, and of course Take Note Community Choir with Katy. Abi has two teenage sons and when not planning world domination with Katy, she can be found playing Fortnite with them (badly) and slowly transforming her house into a dopamine wonderland.
